Work fine, take up little space.May 23, 2010 Jean M.(Holbrook, MA USA) I've been tranferring a lot of video tapes to DVD and these cases work fine and don't take up a lot of space. They open easily, but probably won't take a lot of wear and tear. Most of mine won't be used a lot.

These jewel cases seem to be a little more fragile than other's I've used. But I like the clear plastic and the price was pretty good.

The image on the product page is the way I've gotten these jewel cases either in this or the 25-count size in the past--thin cardboard around both ends and 2 of the other four sides, with shrink wrap finshing it off. I always had to allow for about 5% breakage in transit when I mail-ordered them here. So I open this package and I see that these have been packed in a great 1/8"-thick corrugated tray, with shrink wrap around that. From appearances, this does several times as good a job of protecting the cases as the other packaging did. Not to mention being a better storage container. I don't know if they also come to regular retail stores this way, but I had been ready in advance to write 2 or 3 of these off--now they'll all be usable. Maybe Amazon should revise the product page imagery.
Not recomendedJanuary 23, 2010 John R. White(Wauwatosa, WI United States) My package arrived with 5 broken cases. Not worth the hasstle of returning. The cases are a little hard to open but not as bad as some reviews have indicated. Amazon definitely needs to package these better for shipping.
