great for a while but..............June 28, 2010 LSTEELZ i got these to replace my bose quietcomfort on hot days because of the heat and my ears would be all sweaty..
these scosche had a promise to it until i started knowing the little annoyance it had..
for example the button for the mic was always getting stuck on my shirt collar and my jacket zipper and my headphones would pop out of my ear. not cool
after 5 months the cable that connect to the tip that connects to the audio port started tearing and the left channel was going in and out..i put electric tape and it did the job but the tape didn't last either...
i upgraded to the scosche ones that cost 49 and it comes w/ a clip and lanyard.i wish i had known this before hand...any how if you don't travel and commute by train and putting iphone and headphones in pocket go and get these
but if you are a constant on the go pay the extra cash and get "Scosche Increased Dynamic Range Noise-Isolation Earphones with tapLINE II Remote and Mic"
Not ThrilledMay 26, 2010 J. Lax(New York, NY) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not wanting to spend alot of money on headphones (you never know when you might lose a pair), I was happy to see what appeared to be a high-quality set for $40. My new philosophy might now be never to spend more than $10 for a headset. Here's why:
1. Sound Quality-2
It's fine. I'm not a huge audiophile, but the sound was just fine. No noticeable difference between these and my iphone's manufacturer set. That's not a good thing when you're spending $40.
2. Functionality-1
Not fine. For one thing, this DOES NOT control volume on an iphone 3G. That's annoying. Worse yet, after just a few uses, the phone function stopped working for no apparent reason at all. Now I can only use these to listen to music. No phone function at all. That's inexcusable.
3. Comfort-2
Eh. Once I found the right rubber piece for my ear-size (i'm 5'10 and was surprised to find out i'm a "small"). I was ok with it, but it's not especially comfortable. Also, the noise canceling function can be very annoying. It's not the fault of this particular headset, it's just something innately irritating with noise-canceling technology. It's impossible to stay on a phone call with the headset because the noise-canceling function makes you hear your own voice as if you are wearing ear-plugs. Ever wear those soft, cushion sound-proof in-ear plugs and tried to speak? Try having a conversation like that. Impossible.
Pass on this. These headset companies are going to have to come up with a better technology for headphones that act as phone headsets too.
Very Happy with PurchaseMay 19, 2010 B. Strock Very good quality and sound. It takes some adjustment to get the proper sizing. I use these primarily for running so their ability to stick in my ears was very important and these do the job.
Shocking ExperienceApril 27, 2010 Penny I used these with an iPhone on a 13 hr flight. Twice during the flight, I experienced electrostatic shock in the right earbud. It was really "shocking" nearly to the point of frightening, as I've never experienced a shock inside my ear before with anything including my Apple earbuds. Beyond that, the ear buds performed adequately.
Sosche IDR650MApril 27, 2010 Rodrigo Yanez These Headphones are great for normal sitting around the office use but as far as being active not very good.
The Tap line remote doesn't work any more for answering the volume works fine it all happened when tap line remote got semi squished in my pocket they should consider redesigning the tap line remote to be a bit more tough.
